Film
The framework curriculum for basic education requires that the pupils get to know films and to analyse them. You go to the movies in the year class 7 and 9.
The purpose of the first common film experience is to understand the media. The children have of course seen many films before, but the analyzing of the films should be started already in the year classes 1-6.
The teaching of film should not be an exclusive right of one particular school subject: The films are mentioned in the framework curriculum in mother tongue and visual arts, but it can be a part of every school subject.
Finnkino offers films for school groups in cinema called Kinopalatsi. The ticket price is 5 € / pupil. If the film is on schedule of the cinema at the moment, the ticket price is 7 € / pupil. One teacher per class is free of charge.
